Aurora Launch Services, Limited Liability Company, was formed in 2017 as a wholly- owned subsidiary of the Alaska Aerospace Corporation. Aurora Launch Services is a pioneer contract services company providing low cost, reliable launch services to the emerging small lift commercial launch vehicle market worldwide.

Headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska, the company is structured as a flexible contract services company that can respond to launch requirements globally, operating for existing or future commercial and government spaceports.

Aurora Launch Services is comprised of a small full-time non-government employee management team responsible for both the strategic direction and daily operations of the company. The majority of the company is comprised of part-time employees. These part-time employees will work at launch locations and launch periods specifically identified by individual contracts for launch services.

Aurora Launch Service has a number of distinct competitive advantages over others that will attempt to enter the market. First, experienced personnel who have performed these services in the past for the Federal government and at PSCA means the Aurora Launch Service team will be fully ready to conduct operations from day one. Second, being owned by the Alaska Aerospace means Aurora Launch Services also has a predictable and sustainable home market in Alaska.

Alaska Aerospace has contracted with Aurora Launch Services to provide exclusive launch services at the Pacific Spaceport Complex – Alaska. This stability ensures both long term availability and that personnel have sufficient business to maintain currency in operational performance and requirements.
